                               RESOLUTION NO. 19585
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND THE
                   CITY FINANCE OFFICER TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST,
                   RESPECTIVELY, AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
                   CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH WATT
                   & ESTES, INC., RELATIVE TO THE WIDENING OF
                   CENTRAL AVENUE, FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST OF
                   TWELVE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100
                   DOLLARS ($12,500.00), FOR A REVISED TOTAL
                   AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND,
                   FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS
                   ($32,500.00), WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department
       of Public Works and the City Finance Officer be and are hereby
       authorized to execute and attest, respectively, Amendment No. 1 
to
       the Contract for engineering services with Watt & Estes, Inc.,
       relative to the widening of Central Avenue, for an additional 
cost
       of $12,500.00 for a total amount not to exceed $32,500.00, 
without
       prior approval.
